Susanne Andover Keany
Nature has always been the subject of my work. Moving to Connecticut has had a profound influence on my focus. I shifted from the water’s edge to the forest. I became enchanted by the trees. I painted and photographed them and began to weave wire vessels that took on a life of their own. The trees, alive with movement and life, became an unending source of wonder. Now I find myself looking down at stones and up into tree tops. Moving between the solidity of the earth and the lightness of the air engages me.
